Dread Central's Uncle Creepy has posted news that Chloe Moretz has signed on for the next screen redux of Stephen King's Carrie.

I've got a good feeling about this project. The director seems well-suited to the material (based on her Oscar-winning movie "Boys Don't Cry," which shares some mild thematic similarities with King's novel); she's cast a terrific actor in the lead role; and the screenplay is written by someone who's proven to be fairly good at adapting King's work (having written every issue of the comic book based on "The Stand").
