Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper have have cameos in Kng's novel, Under The Dome. Of course, I didn't know that because. . . I haven't read that far. However, CNN seemed pretty excited about it.
.King told Headline News' Robin Mede that Wolf isn't in the story because he's scary, but because he's "comforting." We get used to seeing these people in our homes, and in some way they become our friends. So they lend a feeling of reality.
.
And about Anderson Coopers "groovy white hair." King says that he had a chance to do an impression of Wolf''s favorite line, "The best political team on television." And the key line is, "What's going on?!"
.
Wolf says it's "cool" to be in a Stephen King book.
.
So why do I not find Wolf Blitzer comforting? I grew up with this guy on television. Creepy, maybe. All I can remember is him hiding in a hotel in Bagdad as the bombs fall. For a long time he was CNN's ground guy. Have somewhere crazy to go... they would send Wolf.
