4 Reasons The Constant Reader Should Smile Big This December

This is going to be a great December!

Reason 1: The recent release of 11.22.63 gives us something to read.  And it's good stuff!  I mean, really good stuff.  Also, the novel is long, giving the reader lots of time to sit in front of the fire, drink hot coco and take a tour of the late 1950's early 60's.

Reason 2: The Bag Of Bones Mini-Series.  I'm really looking forward to this miniseries.  It's set to run December 11.  I loved this book, and really think Mick Garris is going to hit a home run on this one.  The mini-series format is perfect for Stephen King as it allows subplots and details to be followed through.

Reason 3: Cemetery Dance's release of IT.  I love books published by Cemetery Dance!  I was recently looking at just how awesome their version of Full Dark No Stars was compared to the basic Scribner edition.  Even as beautiful as Under The Dome's cover turned out to be, it just can't beat a book by Cemetery Dance.  Anyway, the 25th anniversary edition of IT is set to mail soon.  I can't say when, but the promise is that the book will be out this December.  (Buy it here)

If you collect King, you should get a copy of IT.  Here's why (and no, they are not paying me to say this). . . because CD's books actually are collectibles!  From their Blockade Billy's to the no impossible to find "From A Buick 8", they almost always increase in value.  More than that, they are a cut above the typical mass published book.  I say: Give up on hunting those first editions.  Especially of the later editions.  There's a billion copies out there of 11/22/63 !  Want something cool and unique?  Get a Cemetery Dance book by Stephen King.  And if you find a copy of From A Buick 8, send it to me for safe keeping!  (also super cool is their Secretary Of Dreams books.)

IT will sport a new afterward by King (careful not to get fingerprints on that rare book as you read it!) and the publisher says "This is easily the biggest, most lavish production Cemetery Dance Publications has ever undertaken."

Special Features Include:• brand new afterword by Stephen King detailing why he wrote the book
• deluxe oversized design (7 inches X 10 inches) featuring two color interior printing
• epic wrap-around full color cover artwork by Glen Orbik
• nearly thirty pieces of color and black & white interior artwork by Alan M. Clark and Erin Wells
• interior color artwork will be printed on a high-quality glossy stock and tipped into the book
• high-quality embossed endpapers and fine bindings for all three editions
• full-color signature sheets with exclusive color artwork in the signed editions
• a page count so high it pushes the limits of our printer — easily our largest book ever!
• extremely collectible print run that is a tiny fraction of the MILLIONS of copies of this novel you've seen in bookstores over the last 25 years — and you will NOT find our edition in chain bookstores!

Reason 4: Lilja's Library, the book, is now a cool $30 if you follow his instructions, here.  This book is huge, and well worth your investment.  And. . . it's a Cemetery Dance book.

What could make December even better?
  • More signed copies of 11.22.63
  • A new issue of the Cemetery Dance magazine.  (?)
  • The Stand unabridged on audio, read by Stephen King.

  3. I'll be keeping up with all of it. I'm hoping to get a Cemetery Dance subscription, thus I could follow not just the work Stephen King publishes, but the rest of the horror fiction genre as well.
