First Official Carrie Poster

Dark Horizons has posted the first official teaser poster for Kimberly Peirce's Carrie. Dark Horizons did the artwork, calling it a “international” poster.

Alex Billington at firstshowing.net surmises that the word international is a way of keeping the MPAA at bay because the poster is so bloody.

Anyone upset about the blood should remember. . . it's pigs blood . . . at least to start with!

The poster is obviously meant to communicate that this is a big time horror  movie, not a copycat of the old  movie.

So, what do you think?

  1. I like it. The tagline is even a kinda-sorta reference to the musical (probably an accidental one, but still): in that, the song "Carrie" is all about how Carrie is upset at how people at always calling her "Scary" White. "That's not my naaaaaaaaaaame!" she sings at one point.

  2. I don't like the poster at all. The fan poster was light years ahead.
