Twilight Zone Action Figures

Twilight Zone Action Figures -- cool, I think.  But not at $10 each!  (entertainmentearth.com)

Makes me wonder what action figures might be cool from the SK universe.  I did see a Pennywise action figure.  Not sure what to do with it without the loosers club.  I would like actions figures from The Stand.  The whole gang.

  1. Wow. This is the first time I've seen this action figure, and yet even that's enough to set off a nostalgia wave!

Trivia: the actor which this figure is based on in Richard Kiel, famous for starring as Jaws in the James Bond films.

He's also credited in an episode of a film viewed on MST3K, "Phantom Planet".

While he's listed in the credits, I admit I can't catch sight of him, except for one possible role. I think Kiel is the guy wearing a monster outfit during the final moments of the schlock. I say this based on the observation that the actor wearing the monster suit is the tallest cast member.

So yeah, there was probably one of Richard Kiel's earliest roles folks.

  2. Man,SK action figures. Are there really none around? Big Steve must be saving that as a "last resort option", or something. Figuring so long as he can continue cranking out awesome books, why lower his dignity to the level of mass producing action figures? I'm sure he just has too much integrity to allow for a crass commercialization of his work -- or am I overthinking it, here?

Randal Flagg. Trashcan Man. Barlow. Pennywise, of course. But the coolest action figure of all might be Christine. What about Blaine, the insane train? If we simply focused on The Dark Tower alone, the action figures yielded from that would be astonishing.

What else? Jack Torrance with a croquet mallet--based on Jack Nicholson w/that Here's Johnny look, but wielding the proper instrument. Now that would be cool.

  3. I think the only official action figures are the recent Carrie ones by NECA. And that one Stephen King bobble head. I'd love to see some more. Pennywise would be top on my list. How about all It's other forms? Lots of great possibilities from the Dark Tower too. Dwight Renfield could be an obscure cool one. Love that one giant tooth.
