Dark Horizons has posted the first official teaser poster for Kimberly Peirce's Carrie. Dark Horizons did the artwork, calling it a “international” poster.
Alex Billington at firstshowing.net surmises that the word international is a way of keeping the MPAA at bay because the poster is so bloody.
Anyone upset about the blood should remember. . . it's pigs blood . . . at least to start with!
The poster is obviously meant to communicate that this is a big time horror movie, not a copycat of the old movie.
So, what do you think?

I like it. The tagline is even a kinda-sorta reference to the musical (probably an accidental one, but still): in that, the song "Carrie" is all about how Carrie is upset at how people at always calling her "Scary" White. "That's not my naaaaaaaaaaame!" she sings at one point.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the poster at all. The fan poster was light years ahead.
