Here is an ebay offering for the true first appearance of The Gunslinger. The book was originally published in the magazine of Fantasy and science Fiction section by section. Kind of cool to see all the editions together, I bought mine piece by piece. It's starting bid is $80. A lot for a bunch of magazines; but not so much for a true first appearance of The Gunslinger. (No, I do not know the seller.)
I'm gonna be keeping my eye on that, yes indeedy-do...

ReplyDeleteBy the way, I see individual issues go for $40. So that set is a good deal. The first issue is really valuable (not like Salem's Lot first edition valuable) because it really is the very first appearance of The Gunslinger.
The Gunslinger is one of the top stephen king books. In fact I enjoyed the entire Dark Tower series. I didn’t know it was originally published in a magazine section by section.
