Pet Sematary Behind The Scenes Photo
From Unearthed & Untold: The Path to Pet Sematary, "here's a great behind-the-scenes shot of Blaze Berdahl (Ellie Creed) and Miko Hughes hanging out on the set. Brother/sister on-screen, buddies off-screen." (www.facebook.com)
Vintage Carrie Paperback
Looking for a copy of Carrie the other night, and my kids brought me the original movie cover paperback. I forgot I had it! It's pretty tattered (not by me) and even the cover is creased. It's really a cool copy because it so reflects the times.
What makes it different:
1. The cover shows a blood drenched Sissy Spacek.
2. Title: "CARRIE" by Stephen King Author of 'Salem's Lot. These days covers say, "by the author of Under The Dome" or some current title.
3. There are movie pictures in the middle.
4. The list of books in the front only have one other King title, 'Salem's Lot. The rest are other authors. No, "Other books my Stephen King" with a long list.
What vintage King books do you own that are cool? (they don't have to be first editions, just stuff that makes ya happy)
Remember that photo. . .
Here are some old photos making their rounds again. . .

I found an article by Emily Trube titled "City’s demolition Of Oswald apartment building is underway" interesting.
Trobe writes in part:
The city of Dallas has begun the demolition of an apartment building in the Bishop Arts District that Lee Harvey Oswald used to call home. A crew is removing drywall and the roof this week. Bulldozers are expected to tear the 1920's era building down on January 14th.
Oswald and his wife Marina moved into a ground floor apartment at 600 Elsbeth Avenue in November 1962 and lived there for a little over a year. Oswald would move two more times before the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in November 1963.
The building has no historical designation and had been largely forgotten until last year's publication of Stephen King's novel "11/22/63", in which he writes about 600 Elsbeth. It is also referenced in the Warren Commission's report.Full article at cbs19.tv
I wonder if the screen adaptation will attempt to use any historical locations.

Drowned Zombies Hunger For Stephen King
I love Ain't It Cool's behind the scenes pictures. Here is a repost from Quint at Ain't It Cool News:
Thanks to Quint at www.aintitcool.com
I’ve made no secret of my love of Stephen King, so today’s picture shouldn’t be a surprise. Stephen King plus drowned zombie from Creepshow equals total happiness. Sorry for the curtness of this piece (and the lateness), but South By and spotty wifi internet downtown is playing hell with my timeliness on this article.
Thanks to Barry Rubin for sending it along! Enjoy!

Carrie Pictures

With the note, "Chris and Billy's Car."
With the caption, "Bloody"
All of the pictures in this post are from the Carrie facebook page HERE.
Also, check out the clip of the Making Of Carrie which includes this note:
"The scene in question takes place at an indoor pool with bratty teenagers and doesn’t feature any dialogue from Carrie but instead gives you an idea of how she’s being bullied by her peers. It’s also possible that this is the new opening to the film (the original opened with Carrie discovering her powers in the locker room showers). So it's probable that Carrie will have her first period in the swimming pool." (HERE)
Carrie: The Beauty Of Prom Night
Ken Syme posted at examined, "New 'Carrie' set photos show Chloe Moretz dressed for the prom." There are about 40 photo's posted. (HERE)
More Pictures: Cemetery Dance IT
Brian James Freeman has posted several photos of Cemetery Dance's IT. Here's one. I like this picture because Freeman shows the CD edition next to the original American and British editions. Check out all of them HERE.
Lisbon Falls And Stephen King
One of the really neat things about 11/22/63 is that it connects real places with fictional characters and places. One of the very real places is a spot from Stephen King's past -- Lisbon Falls.
The King connection:

| Lisbon Falls Maine ME 1950s view of the High School. |
According to George Beahm's fantastic book, "Stephen King Country", King commuted to Lisbon High from Durham. Because the town was not big enough to afford, or require, a full blown school bus to transport the four students to Lisbon High, the town contracted with Mike's Taxi to transport the kids.
Now get this. . . the taxi was a converted hearse! And one of the kids riding with King was the girl who would later serve as the model for Carrie White. YIKES! Pretty cool, when you think about it. Stephen King rides in a hearse with Carrie White, eh!
