The 2002 film is unique with different scenes. I want those 40-45 minutes of deleted footage added back in.LcJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18345829902201999124noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1175798629534874434.post-20975615749751602452014-03-17T06:58:31.503-07:002014-03-17T06:58:31.503-07:00After watching the movie a few more times on Blu-r...After watching the movie a few more times on Blu-ray, I've decided that I like it a lot more than I once did. It still has a few issues, but mostly, it's excellent. I much prefer the alternate ending, and a few of the deleted scenes are good, too. I hope we get to see the longer cut someday.Bryant Burnettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01189356171455609865noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1175798629534874434.post-9181611197291330422014-03-06T10:10:30.700-08:002014-03-06T10:10:30.700-08:00This is going to bug me now. I remember reading interviews before the release where Pierce and the other cast members cited specific scenes that where supposed to be in it but weren't. Ebay also had offical screen worn costumes for some of those scenes for sale with COAs from MGM.JillChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07909030806985235589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1175798629534874434.post-72196176142360418832014-03-05T18:09:58.841-08:002014-03-05T18:09:58.841-08:00Extremely interesting to know. As for the Rain of Stones and the White Commission, well it's been a long time since I read the novel. Yet think about the fact that it remains one of the most frequently banned books in our schools. Could it have anything to do with the book representing the female point of view? I wonder...not. I now see this book in an extraordinary new light. Big Steve didn't just hit a nerve with CARRIE. He lunged for the jugular. I've got my original first edition paperback downstairs...in the cellar. Am going to have to re-read this one. shaunhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14054968054917843198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1175798629534874434.post-25494594538124972252014-03-05T15:18:50.878-08:002014-03-05T15:18:50.878-08:00Very interesting story David. With this in mind, the theatrical cut takes on a different dimension, one that screams studio interference more or less.

The thing is, I'm not sure why the studio would want to do a De Palma remake. Who was THAT meant for, anyway?

ChrisCPrisonerNumber6https://www.blogger.com/profile/03156430802462353459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1175798629534874434.post-61947550097246352062014-03-05T06:55:56.950-08:002014-03-05T06:55:56.950-08:00I thought it was great movie ,but i would like to ...I thought it was great movie ,but i would like to see the extended scenes on dvd !!!???;);)Daniel vargo0515@gmail.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15513629796901388071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1175798629534874434.post-73864067981213883602014-03-04T22:26:19.077-08:002014-03-04T22:26:19.077-08:00Totally agree. I liked it, but it could -- and should -- have been much more than what it ended up being. That is, a rehash of the 1976 movie. Who needed that?!?Bryant Burnettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01189356171455609865noreply@blogger.com
