I thought it was a fairly mediocre premiere episode, but one that sets up interesting elements that can -- and hopefully will -- make for a good series.
I think it sucked. It is an awesome book and they should not even be able to call it UTD. It has the characters and the setting but other than that nothing. It has absolutely nothing to do with the book.

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your review at Truth Inside The Lie.
ReplyDeleteThanks, David!
DeleteI thought the pilot was okay enough, definitely an improvement on the novel so far, though time will have to tell on the whole.

I agree with Bryant. It was a lackluster first episode. But there is still potential for it to be good.

ReplyDelete"Absolutely nothing"? That's an overstatement.
DeleteCrazy -- King fans don't like it, and everyone who didn't read the book thinks it was great. I read the book, and I liked the episode a lot.
ReplyDeleteI can't think of many King television shows that could beat that.
Massive King fan who has been constantly burned by the adaptations. Surprisingly, I'm in love with this show. I loved the changes.
